My father and mother operated a successful air conditioning business in Santa Rosa county in the early 1970s. My father felt compelled to serve people as a Christian minister so he sold his business, earned a theology degree and preached for over 30 years. At times, he would use his skills to help family, friends, and churches with their air conditioning needs and I would come along. Upon returning home from military service, I began to help my father with some air conditioning work. I became licensed as an HVAC contractor in the state of Florida in 2000 and my wife became the secretary and book keeper.
We like the small business concept and believe we have a good understanding of our customers' individual needs. Our business is based on providing timely, quality service. If we can't do that we won't be here for years to come.
My wife and I are both military veterans. We have three children. Our oldest son was an officer in the Marine Corps and is now back working with us in the family AC business, our daughter is an Army nurse, and our youngest is a combat medic in the Army.

Wingate's A/C Repair service has been our go to company when we've had issues. Our A/C quit working over the weekend. My husband called Jonathan yesterday and today he had his son, Hunter, come to check it out. I like Wingate's A/C because they are good and honest people, response time is quick, and they are knowledgeable, efficient, and fair. I will use them again and again and again!
We had decided it was time to replace our 20+ year old system. Wingate came out the same day we called for an estimate that was by far the best rate we had received for a better quality unit. They came the next day to do the install. They were very kind and efficient! They kept the house clean while working. We were very impressed with how quickly they replaced everything (including the pad the unit sits on!). We will definitely use them for all our HVAC needs!
Very pleased with service! Prompt response and very efficient! We had our entire HVAC unit replaced and the four gentlemen that came out to do it were very professional. Our air-conditioning wasn't cooling last evening, so I called Wingate's Air Conditioning. They responded promptly this morning and were here by 10 am. I thought maybe freon was needed, but after Mr. Wingate checked our unit, it was the capacitor. Within 5-10 minutes, our home was cool again! I appreciate a company who is prompt, professional, honest, and whose integrity is shown through their work. My husband and I highly recommend this company for your AC/HVAC needs. The guys at Wingate Air Conditioning (a father-and-son team) were amazing! They worked us in quickly and got our A/C back up and running smoothly. Their prices are the best you'll find.
